Dillon's Claim

It's Canadian Thanksgiving today, and I'm looking forward to my second turkey dinner tonight--especially because this time I'm not the one that has to cook it!

I received the cover art for my second installment of the Dumen Ranch series today, Dillon's Claim. It features the eldest Dumen brother and the woman that's haunted his dreams for the past year.

No release date yet, but that should arrive soon, and I'll bet it releases before the New Year. Will keep you posted!

Chemistry is Real: The O Behind the Big O

I've been remiss about keeping this blog updated, since I post mostly over at Naughty Author Chicks, but I'm going to try to be more diligent here.

While researching about "bonding" for my paranormal romance coming out soon under my Kaylea Cross persona, I found some very interesting facts. Today I've posted over at NAC about the chemistry behind the chemistry--actual hormones that affect lovers and make them feel so intensely about each other.

In writing news, I've just finished up galleys for my second Dumen Ranch story, Dillon's Claim, so I should get a release date soon. Carina Press contracted the sequel to No Holds Barred (coming out November 21st), and it's called Let Me In.

Touch Me, another erotic romance novella from Carina Press, will be out January 2nd of next year.

New Contract

Just found out that Carina Press is going to contract the short erotic romance I sent them a few weeks back. Angela James e-mailed to tell me she'd read it personally and loved it, and that my new editor fell in love with it too. The working title is No Holds Barred, and I'm calling it a "vanilla menage with BDSM elements". Go figure that one out!

My erotic romance editor there seems super fun and I'm looking forward to working with her. In fact, I'm plotting out another short right now and hope to finish it before I leave for Hawaii in early March. Then it's back to the second book of my Bagram Special Ops series, a military romantic suspense under my other pen name Kaylea Cross.

Will keep you posted as to a release date, but it will probably be late summer or fall.

I'm a Scarlet Woman

I'm thrilled to announce that last week I received a contract for my erotic romance novella from the Scarlet Rose line of The Wild Rose Press. So that makes me both a Scarlet Woman and a Wilder Rose too :)

We've changed the title to Deacon's Touch, and it will be a part of the Cowboy Kink series. Can't wait to get rolling on my edits and see my cover!

This blog will serve as my website for the time being, until I get a few more books under my belt or my editor insists that I get a real website, lol. I'll keep you posted with new information here, but I guess I should add I'm probably going to submit a short Christmas story for this same line, featuring the same characters. I've only got a few months to write and submit it, so I have to get cracking on it shortly, right after I get my mainstream WIP finished.

Taking A Leap

It's official: I've gone to the dark side :)

Last week I submitted my first erotic romance novella to the Scarlet Rose line of The Wild Rose Press, and now the waiting commences. This story is one of four set on the Dumen Ranch in Bandera, TX, based on the Silver Spur Guest Ranch where some of us TWRP authors spent our retreat back in May. Little did I know that I'd leave there an erotic romance author. And it's all my editor's fault, too! She made me do it.

My dirty little secret is...I'm loving it.

The working title is Stripped Bare. Here's the blurb:

Jessica Talbot is dreading the weekend stagette she got roped into attending at a Texas dude ranch, until she meets Deacon Dumen. The sexy cowboy awakens every dormant sexual fiber in her body with nothing more than a friendly smile and a handshake. Too bad a fling isn’t on the agenda, even if a single look from Deke makes her tingle more than her ex-fiance ever did.

Deke doesn’t know what to make of the sexy brunette he got stuck picking up from the airport. She’s single and cute as hell, but way too uptight despite the growing sexual attraction between them. Good thing she’s off limits, since his penchant for control in the bedroom would likely scare the holy hell out of her. But when Jessie shocks him by admitting she wants exactly what he's been craving, Deke introduces her to the gentler side of dominance and submission. Her complete surrender rocks him to the core, and neither are prepared for the emotional fallout.
