Bring On 2012

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is looking forward to this bright, shiny New Year. I know it's just psychological, but I love the possibility of a fresh new start. January 1st is the perfect excuse to try and shake off some bad things from the previous year and start over. Turn a new page, so to speak. I plan to write many new pages this year, if all goes according to plan.

I've got another release on January 2nd, a friends-to-lovers novella from Carina Press called Touch Me. I'll be guest blogging at several sites to talk about the book, so I'll keep you posted on the dates.

In other news, my pal Katie Reus is hosting a ginormous contest beginning January 1st and running through mid-February. She's got a release from Carina on January 2nd as well, a romantic suspense called His Secret Past. Then on February 7th, it's her New York debut with Alpha Instinct, the first of the Moon Shifter series from NAL. It's a fast-paced introduction to her world of kick-ass shifters and other paranormal beings that paranormal romance fans will devour.

In this contest, Katie's giving away books from authors such as me and Cynthia Eden, treats, and the grand prize of an Amazon Kindle. To check it out and sign up, follow this link. Hope you'll enter!

Wishing all of you a wonderful, shiny New Year bright with possibilities,

Callie :)

Dillon's Claim Release!

The standalone sequel to Deacon's Touch is out today and I can't wait for you to read about this sexy eldest Dumen brother. Here's the blurb for Dillon's Claim:

Charissa Myers attends a bachelorette weekend at a Texas guest ranch, knowing she'll have to confront Dillon Dumen. The sexy cowboy is everything she's ever wanted in a man but, gun-shy after a previous BDSM encounter gone bad, she denied her need to submit to the irresistible Dom. She expects his anger, but what she doesn't expect is Dillon's determination to finish what they started all those months ago.

Dillon doesn't understand what spooked Charissa in the first place, but now that she's on his turf, he wants a hell of a lot more from her than answers. He's got two days to weaken her resistance and stake his claim once and for all. And this time, he's not letting her go without a fight.

There are a couple of contests going on today where you can enter to win a digital copy of Dillon's Claim. One is at The Wilder Rose Press blog, and the other is over at Naughty Author Chicks. I hope you'll stop by to enter!

This is the first year I'll be on Santa's naughty list (um, due to my erotic romance releases), so here's hoping I get more than a lump of coal in my stocking Christmas morning.

Happy holidays!
Callie ;)

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Holy smokes, it's three weeks until Christmas! I love this time of year, but it sure is a ton of work. We decorate our house to the nines, and hubby's got the front yard looking like something out of National Lampoon's Christmas.

How are you doing with your holiday prep? I've got almost all my shopping done, so now I've got to wrap, bake and get ready for Christmas dinner. We're hosting hubby's side of the family on Boxing Day so that takes some of the stress out of the 25th for me.

I've got another release coming out next Friday the 16th (Dillon's Claim, the sequel to Deacon's Touch), and then an unrelated release with Carina on January 2nd (Touch Me). I'll be hosting giveaways for both books, so stay tuned for details.

Happy holidays everyone!

Release Day!

No Holds Barred is officially out today! I've got my dark glasses and wide brimmed hat all picked out and ready to go for when I drop my kids off at Catholic school. *cough*

This story is very different from anything else I've written, and really pushed the envelope. It's a menage story, but one with a difference. I hope the reader can feel the tenderness and consideration involved between the characters.

Blurb:
During a playful talk about fantasies, Caitlin’s fiancĂ© offers to give her a threesome—with his best friend, Liam, who’s coming to spend the weekend. At first Cait is shocked that Nathan could entertain the thought of sharing her with another man, but once he’s planted the idea her imagination runs wild, leaving her deeply aroused—yet still unsure about what the implications could be for her and Nate’s relationship.

Nathan’s watched Cait struggle to hide her attraction to Liam for years. He knows she’s nervous, but he also knows that by making her most intimate fantasies come true he can bring her to heights of pleasure she’s only imagined, and strengthen their bond. There’s only one way to help her overcome her inhibitions—by planning a night of ecstasy she’ll never forget…

You can find it at all the usual places, which I've linked here on my website. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving down south of the border, and this story should help keep the November chill away. I'll be giving away a few copies of the book, so be sure to check my Facebook page for details. Happy reading!

Christmas Time Is Almost Here

Deck the halls! I know it's early for a lot of people, but this past weekend we started hauling out all the Christmas decorations. It's quite a job, since we've got a crawlspace and garage full of decorations. Four trees and a massive arbor, in addition to all the other stuff.

This year was the first year my sons were really into the decorating (they're 5 and 7), and that made it so much more fun for all of us. The eldest worked his little buns off, carrying boxes, setting everything up and even cleaning up without being asked. (I think he knew Santa was watching!)

The plan is to have all my shopping/wrapping done by the end of the first week of December, to stave off all kinds of stress I don't need. Any of you have Christmas resolutions this year?

Sexy Man Parts

I'm over at Naughty Author Chicks talking about which parts of a man are the sexiest, and why. My answer was completely PG, by the way ;)

Dillon's Claim

It's Canadian Thanksgiving today, and I'm looking forward to my second turkey dinner tonight--especially because this time I'm not the one that has to cook it!

I received the cover art for my second installment of the Dumen Ranch series today, Dillon's Claim. It features the eldest Dumen brother and the woman that's haunted his dreams for the past year.

No release date yet, but that should arrive soon, and I'll bet it releases before the New Year. Will keep you posted!

Chemistry is Real: The O Behind the Big O

I've been remiss about keeping this blog updated, since I post mostly over at Naughty Author Chicks, but I'm going to try to be more diligent here.

While researching about "bonding" for my paranormal romance coming out soon under my Kaylea Cross persona, I found some very interesting facts. Today I've posted over at NAC about the chemistry behind the chemistry--actual hormones that affect lovers and make them feel so intensely about each other.

In writing news, I've just finished up galleys for my second Dumen Ranch story, Dillon's Claim, so I should get a release date soon. Carina Press contracted the sequel to No Holds Barred (coming out November 21st), and it's called Let Me In.

Touch Me, another erotic romance novella from Carina Press, will be out January 2nd of next year.

Will keep you posted about any future releases!

New Contract

Just found out that Carina Press is going to contract the short erotic romance I sent them a few weeks back. Angela James e-mailed to tell me she'd read it personally and loved it, and that my new editor fell in love with it too. The working title is No Holds Barred, and I'm calling it a "vanilla menage with BDSM elements". Go figure that one out!

My erotic romance editor there seems super fun and I'm looking forward to working with her. In fact, I'm plotting out another short right now and hope to finish it before I leave for Hawaii in early March. Then it's back to the second book of my Bagram Special Ops series, a military romantic suspense under my other pen name Kaylea Cross.

Will keep you posted as to a release date, but it will probably be late summer or fall.
